Oh Pieman...
My fabulous friend from forever, has backed me into a corner... I feel as though I must blog. I always love to share my opinion, so this should be a great format. Although I don't want to come on like a freight train so I shall just tone it all down for a bit, before I spring The Real OCGirl on you. :)
My mother and niece just spent the last week with me. Actually not the entire week. They came Monday through Saturday. As I work Monday through Friday 8-5, this left the evenings and a portion of Saturday to spend with them. I loved every moment... even though I may have had a bit of a bad attitude with my mama on Saturday. Oops. Although I definitely wish they could have spent more time in Southern California while I wasn't working... I guess we can't have it all.I also suppose that this was the best choice as Hgirl, my niece, wanted to spend every waking moment at Disneyland- and large crowds of people and screaming children do not make the "Happiest Place on Earth" for me.
I could share a long story about meeting them on Friday after work, rush hour, and angry parents.... but again I shall tone it all down a bit now.
I would like to share that I took it upon myself to share with my 10-year-old niece the complete story of the "Bird and the Bees" just outside of a water ride. (The opportunity for this dialogue to open up occurred the previous Tuesday when we were watching TV and one of the actors had said that she had an orgasm... I ignored my niece that night when she asked what is was, but felt bad about it later.) My sister will kill me if she finds out. But that's what cool aunt's are supposed to do, no? The things that parents are scared to conquer? Needless to say my niece was quite grossed out by the entire explanation. Good. She should keep it that way for about 10 years longer.
So my family came to town, and left a bit more educated on life.
I haven't received a call from my sister yet, but am sure that it's not too far away.
Anyway off I go, Le is awaiting my arrival at my house so we can go to dinner.....
Peace out.
