hum. dee. dum.
JP moved home to Portland today. It’s a bummer, but she’s only a plane ride away.
One that I hope to make much more often.
Going home this last weekend left me with more than a twinge of home-sickness lagging in my being. Perhaps that’s why I feel a bit off today.
Or maybe it’s due to the two bottles of wine I split with LJ last night after having a couple of beers at JP’s going away.
LJ and I had high hopes of awaking bright-eyed and bushy-tailed this morning and getting our motivated asses out to do the stairs (a.k.a. 1000 steps; a.k.a. utter hell) This decision was made just after midnight, prompting us to set our alarms for just a few hours later.
I awoke just prior to my alarm sounding, light shining in my face (I decided to open my blinds before crawling into bed) and a multitude of birds singing their various songs just outside of my window. I wish I had a gun. Needless to say the only running I did was out the door, late for work.
So now I shall head home (glad not to have to sling beans tonight), grab a glass of wine, watch the sunset, and hope it shant repeat itself tomorrow morning.
Oh wait, it can’t, Miller Time is picking me up for a leg of her marathon race training at 5:45am.
Arg… I’m tired thinking about it.
