Last night was AWESOME...

I’d like to attribute my joy to some post coital bliss, but alas thus is not the case. Whatev. All I can say is “Portland: Watch Out”. Mothers hold your sons close, because OCG will be up celebrating what she considers a national holiday next week… Her Birthday!!!

I crawled into bed almost as soon as I got home, hoping to grab a few moments of rest as this last weekend I got little to no sleep. In bed, I entered that place just between awake and asleep… my mind lifting me out of my body and taking me for a walk down the stairs leading from my house… where I abruptly fell down them, suddenly jolting my entire body very awake in bed. Hate that.

Just as I began to fall back into slumber LaLo came in my room and told me I had to get up, rainbows were covering the sky as we had our first rain of the season. I sleepily got up, hugged LaLo and SB hello, and went out to the terrace to behold one of the most amazing skyscapes I have ever seen. (These pictures do not do justice to the brilliance that was the sky last night…what can I expect from a camera phone…)

As we enjoyed wine (they came up complete with all the necessities) and the sunset I was telling them about the convo regarding phone sex I had with Beach Chic.
(Random Insert: Read her blog today.)

SB told me that if I am to the point where I am having phone sex with a girl that lives twenty minutes away, I have no choice but to go out and get some. So hopefully after this weekend I’ll have something much more viable to brag about, other than “I give really good phone”.

The sun set and the clouds moved in sweeping across the sea. We had ourselves an AMAZING display of thunder and lightening. As one of my [many] mottos is, “If you’re going to go, go BIG.” I broke out a magnum of champagne, turned up classical choir music, and video taped the lavender night sky as lightning danced across the ocean.

Really, who needs sleep? It’s so overrated.

I saw that very rainbow! I was in your neighborhood last night! :-) I agree. Sleep is overrated. I didn't get much last night myself ...
