Random Thursday pre-Christmas thoughts…
LaLo and exchanged Christmas gifts earlier this week. Excitedly she handed me mine and said, "I think you are going to like this so much you will masturbate with it". I immediately tore it open. She was right. “The Three Superior Person’s Books of Words” by Peter Bowler.
This three-volume set is comprised of:
“The Superior Person’s Book of Words”
Including such words as*:
Alliaphage~ n. A garlic-eater.
Daffodowndilly~ n. The Superior Person’s word for a daffodil.
Muliebrity~n. The quality of being womanly; softness, femininity. The female equivalent to virility. Not to be confused with mulishness.
“The Superior Person’s Second Book of Weird & Wonderous Words”
Including such words as:
Grapholagnia~n. A fascination for obscene pictures.
Menseful~n. Considerate, neat, and clean. A good one for the Personals: “Menseful lady wishes to meet ditto gent, view discreet exchange of courtesies.”
Pleniloquence~n. Literally, a plentitude of talking. Excessive loquacity. There are two species of genus, entitled the Senate and the House of Representatives.
“The Superior Person’s Third Book of Well-Bred Words”
Including such words as:
Gynecocracy~n. Government by a woman or by women; the supremacy of the female. Well, if there’s a word for it, it must exist, mustn’t it? The ontological argument for the supremecy of women. I’m a beliver.
Tittup~v. To frolic and generally kick up your heels, dancing or prancing along.
Whiffle~n. An unimportant person; someone more pretentious than significant. In short, a whippersnapper, i.e., a whipsnapper, a cracker of whips – someone who makes a lot of noise to no purpose.
* All words and definitions provided in full by Mr. Bowler's books.
None of these books came with the actual enunciation of the words… so be prepared for me to drop some serious [mispronounced] verbiage on you shortly… now I must be off… feeling the need to touch myself…

Umm, yeah, why didn't anyone buy that for me. Boo-hoo, I must cry now.
Are you doing the holidays in the OC or up north?

I like LaLo's gift-giving statement. Really adds something to the process of exchanging.
Have a wonderful weekend, OCG. Tittup like no one's watching ;-)
